The new Skyline Coupe has been designed and engineered around the product concept of "stylish design and performance," representing the two attributes that were given precedence over all other aspects in the development of this premium sports coupe.

The car was launched earlier in North America last November as the Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe, which has been enthusiastically received with high accolades. The Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe and the Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan were selected by Motor Trend magazine as the "2003 Car of the Year," one of the most prestigious auto awards given in North America.

While maintaining a unified styling identity with the Sedan, the Coupe design embodies the four key themes of "dynamic, emotional, distinctive and advanced" to endow the car with the beautiful and powerful appearance of a premium sports coupe.

The car's dynamic and emotional design is based on low and wide body proportions, a long wheelbase for a look of solid stability and large-diameter tires that make a salient styling statement.

The comfortable, personalized cabin is appointed with exclusive Coupe sport seats that provide excellent body-holding support, equipment accented with a titanium-looking finish and various other features, all of which combine to give the Coupe interior a distinctly sporty ambience.

All models are fitted with the high-power NEO VQ35DE engine that produces 206 kW (280 PS) of horsepower and 363 N-m (37.0 kg-m) of torque for impressive driving performance with ample power in reserve and a flat, powerful torque characteristic in all speed ranges. Additionally, the Coupe adopts a long wheelbase with a central occupant seating position, a wide track and large-diameter tires to provide smooth, agile handling characteristics for an eminently confident and enjoyable driving experience. These and other features maximize the outstanding properties of the FM (Front, Midship) Package to deliver superb driving performance.

Included among the many standard safety features are Xenon headlamps, Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), SRS side airbags for the driver and front passenger, SRS curtain airbag systems and front-seat Active Head Restraints.
