Externally the R34 features angled headlights and keeps the massive intercooler
duct at the front from the R33. The rear spoiler is now a two-wing design with 30 different positions. Pumped out guards try to
contain the massive 18" wheels. The R34 also includes front and rear diffusers which are mounted underneath the car. These create
down force, similar to the spoiler except they utilise air passing underneath the body. Naturally the round tail lights have
stayed, a Skyline tradition. Inside, the Skyline features front "bucket" seats complete with slots ready for a racing harness.
However probably the most eye-catching feature is the LCD Multi-function display that resides in the middle. This screen allows you
to choose between eight gauges that can be displayed complete with real-time graphs and digital / analogue displays. Selectable
gauges include Boost, Oil-Temp, Forward Torque, Volts, Throttle, Injectors, Exhaust temp and Intake temp. All information can even
be downloaded to a computer for further analysis. The screen also supports an optional television or CD-based navigation system.
The dash itself shows conventional info with large tacho and speedo gauges being prominent. Interestingly the tacho has rather
small markings from 0-3000 RPM, an indication of the power band of the motor as the gauge goes right up to 10,000 RPM despite the
8,000 redline. Other points to note include leather steering wheel with driver and passenger side airbags (side bags optional),
triple DIN stereo mounts, short gear stick and compacted rear seats.
